Fees & Referrals
Psychology  Appointments

Our scheduled fee for a 50 minute session (face to face or e-therapy) is $295 for fee-paying clients. With a valid referral, a Medicare rebate of $145.25 is available. Due to the reporting requirements for some insurance companies, rates can vary for sessions being claimed through insurance schemes. Additional fees apply for report writing, completion of forms, school meetings/ observations and extended phone calls.

There is no fee charged for correspondence with referrers.

Mental Health Care Plan

Prior to your appointment, you may like to see your GP to assess if you are eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). A MHCP entitles you to a Medicare rebate to use for 6 sessions to assist you with payment. After the initial 6 sessions, you are required to return to your GP for a review, and to gain a further 4 sessions. Please note that you are only eligible for 10 rebated sessions per calendar year. For us to process your rebate, we require a copy of your MHCP and referral letter from your GP. You can ask your GP to send the referral letter and MHCP directly, you can email or fax, or bring it in with you the day of your appointment. We can process the claim on your behalf after full payment is made.

Self-Referral

You do not need a referral to book an appointment. If you have private health insurance, you may be entitled to a rebate through your provider. If you choose not to use Medicare or a private health fund you can receive appointments without a referral..

National Disability Insurance Scheme NDIS

ISCP services offer a broad variety of benefits for NDIS participants, including an improved ability for you to relate to family and friends, connect with your local community and enrich your quality of life. There is strong evidence for the benefits of psychology for a range of participants, including those living with physical, psychosocial, neurological, sensory, cognitive and intellectual disability.

ISCP provides services via an NDIS plan is to help you identify your goals and generate an individualised, evidence-based intervention plan to address your goals.

Hourly rate is based on the recommended NDIS schedule of $232.99 for a 50 minute appointment.

Private Health Insurance

Psychology services may be subsidised by your private health insurer if you have a suitable policy with extras cover. You can use private insurance cover once you have used the 10 Medicare rebates but you cannot claim twice for the same service. You do not need a referral from a medical practitioner to qualify for private health insurance rebates. Contact your insurance provider prior to your first appointment.

Cancellation Policy

When you confirm a session, this time is reserved for you. Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your session. This will allow the administration enough time to offer your session time to someone else. If you do not give at least 24 hours notice you will be charged a ‘Late Cancellation/Missed Session fee’.

Late cancellation/missed session : $130

For sessions scheduled on a Monday (or public holidays) we require notice by midday on the previous business day.
